Nigora Goat
Nigoras are Nigerian Dwarf/Angora cross goats. While we are no longer raising these cute fluffy guys we hope to do so again. These guys are not a registered breed yet but that is coming soon!
The benefits are recognized by many though and are starting to become very popular.  A Nigora is a milking and fiber goat in a small manageable size!
A little history:  In the past many had found by crossing that you loose fiber quality and it just wasn't worth it.. Over time it was recognized that it took some incredible stock to carry on the incredible fiber aspects of an angora.
We have found that the ones we have bred here are great goats with amazing coats. They grow a beautiful cashmere type fleece and is a spinners dream YET they shed out on their own every year, but many people choose to shear theirs to help prevent matting in the shedding process!  They have incredible milk producing qualities AND they are much hardier and require less upkeep then pure angoras. So needless to say We are proud of the Nigoras we have bred.

 Mini Nubian Goats
Mini Nubian Goats are a new breed that is a cross between a Nigerian Dwarf Goat and a Nubian Goat. These are ideal milking goats because they are a smaller sized goat that are bred to be great milkers. Mini Nubian Goats are known for having long, floppy ears that are adorable. This trait comes from the Nubian side.  Our Mini Nubian Goats are registered with The Miniature Goat Registry, but they are accepted into MDGA as well as IDGR.

Nubian Goats
While we are no longer raising pure Nubians, they are the foundation to our beautiful Mini Nubian Herd.
They are a large Dairy breed goat with lots of color and the cutest ears of any goat.  Long hound dog like floppy ears! Here we use the nubians mainly to cross for mini nubians but we love our pure nubians as their spots and ears are the cutest.

Miniature Silky Fainting Goats
We have some amazing Silky Fainting Goats and encourage you to come see them. Some prefer slightly shorter coats as they do not require the same upkeep. However we also breed for the longer coats, blue eyes, and flashy colors. The name Miniature Silky Fainting Goats can be a bit of a misnomer because while they are all small and very silky not all of them faint. Being Myotonic (fainting) is not a requirement for the registry and is not our main focus for breeding. Our focus is centered on long coats, small size and color. Our Silky Fainting Goats are registered with the Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association.

Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Nigerian Dwarf Goats are originally from West Africa and have become very popular as family pets, hobby farm milking goats, and show goats. Paradise Valley Farm specializes in small, colorful goats that are quality milks and very friendly. We have become quite well known for our flashy kids with blue eyes. We also breed for naturally polled (hornless) as well. Our Nigerian Dwarf Goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association.
